PV Sindhu wins the first Commonwealth Games gold medal in his career

 P V Sindhu plays a hit against  Michelle Li of Canada during the women's singles badminton final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games  (C W G),  Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM : Indian commuter Ace   P V Sindhu has won India's first badminton gold medal  at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games  and the first C W G women's singles  gold medal of her career in beating Canadian Michelle Li on the last Monday. 

 Sindhu was the dominant character in the match, although his opponent played well. The Indian tennis player won  two consecutive games with a score of 21-15, 21-13. 

 P V Sindhu got off to a great start. The first half, she is leading  11-8. Michelle Li gave great competition to her Indian opponent  but failed in every rally. The result was a 21-15 win for Sindhu in the opening goal.


                        Li started the second game overhead. But Sindhu took advantage  again immediately. The Canadian kept making mistakes and he continued to build a lead for Sindhu with each miss. In the middle of Game 2, Sindhu was in an advantageous position with an 11-6 lead. He still needs 10 points to win the first  C W G 2022 gold medal for India in badminton. 

. Sindhu and Li had a heated exchange with 57 hits, which ended with the Indians losing one point. Li is slowly gaining an edge over Sindhu as she cuts the deficit. In the end, Sindhu's lead was reduced to 13-11. 

 Sindhu continued to fight throughout the second match and eventually won with a score of 21-13. With the win, she also claimed her first women's singles medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games  and India's first badminton gold medal at the 2022 C W G.
