The ICMR has selected Dr. Rajiv Bahl as its Director General
For a three-year term, Dr. Rajiv Bahl has been named the new director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and secretary of the department of health. New Delhi : For a three-year term, Dr. Rajiv Bahl has been named the new director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and secretary of the department of health. At the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Bahl presently oversees the research on maternity, newborn child, and adolescent health in the department of maternal, neonatal child, and adolescent health and ageing. The extended term of his predecessor, Dr. Balram Bhargava, as secretary of the Department of Health Research and director general of ICMR concluded in July.
