Chipko Movement

The chipko Movement was a forest conservation movement in india. The movement originated in 1973 at the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand and went on to become a rallying point for many future environmental movements all over the world. It created a precedent for starting nonviolent protest in India.  Gaura Devi : Mother Of Chipko Movement There are many responsible people who have become awair of their role to bring harmony back into the world-like the ‘Chipko Movement”. Some caring villagers from the Gharwal region of Uttaranchal in Northern India started a movement against deforestation. They hugged the trees in an attempt to prevent the wood cutters from cutting the down!!

 Monsoon News, IMD Weather Forecast Live Update, 13 Jul 2022: Six people die in rain related incidents as torrential downpours continue in several districts of Gujarat while more than 18,000 people were evacuated from  affected areas, officials said. Monsoon news live updates: At least six people have died in rain-related incidents in the past 24 hours and 95 people have had to be evacuated as heavy rains hit Gadchiroli, Nandurbar, Nashik and Palghar  of Maharashtra. Two people were killed after a structure collapsed on the outskirts of Mumbai  while one  drowned in the Gadchiroli district in eastern Maharashtra. In Nagpur, an SUV was washed away in a stream in Pandharkhedi.  Six people died in rain-related incidents as downpours continued in several districts of Gujarat in 24 hours, while more than 18,000 people were evacuated from  affected areas, officials said. The death toll in rain-related incidents in the state since June 1 has risen to 69....
