Monsoon news live updates: At least 6 dead, 95 evacuated in Maharashtra; Gujarat rain kills 6

 Monsoon News, IMD Weather Forecast Live Update, 13 Jul 2022: Six people die in rain related incidents as torrential downpours continue in several districts of Gujarat while more than 18,000 people were evacuated from  affected areas, officials said.

Monsoon news live updates: At least six people have died in rain-related incidents in the past 24 hours and 95 people have had to be evacuated as heavy rains hit Gadchiroli, Nandurbar, Nashik and Palghar  of Maharashtra. Two people were killed after a structure collapsed on the outskirts of Mumbai  while one  drowned in the Gadchiroli district in eastern Maharashtra. In Nagpur, an SUV was washed away in a stream in Pandharkhedi. 

Six people died in rain-related incidents as downpours continued in several districts of Gujarat in 24 hours, while more than 18,000 people were evacuated from  affected areas, officials said. The death toll in rain-related incidents in the state since June 1 has risen to 69. 

                                 In other news, the IMD forecasts the monsoon to remain active until July 16. For 13 consecutive days, through Tuesday,  rainfall across India is above normal. On Tuesday,  seasonal rainfall across India was 289.9mm, 9% above normal.
