PM to inaugurate, lay foundation of 1800cr rupees project in Kashi in Gregorian calendar month

Varansi : PM Narendra Modi will gift 13 new projects of Rs 1,200 crore to Kashi by laying their foundation and also inaugurate around 33 ready projects of Rs 600 crores during his proposed visit in july.
     Divisional commissioner Deepak Agarwal and district magistrate K. R. Sharma said that final date for the PM`s proposed visit has not been received from the PMO so far, but in view of possibility for his arrival between July 7 and 10 all preprations are being made in the district.

                      The officials are also finalising the list of the projects r eady for inauguration by the PM following chief minister Yogi Adityanath`s stricts directives issued on June 25 that only the projects which would start operating immediately after inauguration, be included in the list.
       Among 33 ready projects of around Rs 600 crores, maximum 11 are of Urban Development and being executed by smart City Limited. Officials said that these 11 projects include phase -1 work of Namo Ghat, bathing jetty, CNG boats, urban placemaking and infrastructure development under Lehartara - Chowkaghat flyover, market complex at Dashaswamedh and sewage projects.
        Apart from it 22 projects of PWD, home department including new police station building, sports, electricity, heigher education, women and child welfare, tourism, religious affairs and Jal Shakti departments have also been included in the list of ready projects for inauguration.

                        The major projects, the foundation of which will be laid by the PM, are the six-lane conversion of Lehartara-BHU-Vijaya crossing of the Rs. 242 crores, four-lane widening of the road from Pandeypur flyover to ring road of Rs220 crore, rural drinking water projects under Jal Jivan Mission of Rs210 crore, World Bank aided development works at Buddhist circuit Sarnath under UP pro-poor tourism development project, Pavan Path to link tempels and five stopages of Panchkoshi Parikrama Route.
