 The Ministry of Defence has announced that the 12th edition of Defense Expo, India's leading exhibition of land, naval and domestic security systems, will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The Ministry of Defence has announced that the 12th edition of Defense Expo, India's leading exhibition of land, naval and domestic security systems, will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event will be held from October 18 to 22, 2022. The theme of this publication is “Pride Road”, evoking national pride and encouraging citizens to participate in nation building. by establishing a capable indigenous defence industry. 

 A five-day event will have three business days followed by two public days. Live demonstrations showcasing the equipment and skills of the armed forces, DPSU and industry will be held every 5 days at the Sabarmati River front through active participation and synchronized efforts. at all levels, officials informed.



The main points of the 22nd National Defence Exhibition in 2022 :

  • The Indian defence industry  is eagerly awaiting DefExpo-2022, Asia's largest defence industry event. It was postponed to March 2022 due to logistical issues faced by the participants.
  • Defence manufacturing reform is attracting greater interest from Indian defense manufacturers and therefore it is expected that DefExpo-2022 will attract active participation from Indian companies.
  • The DefExpo-2022 website is available to provide online services to exhibitors, in addition to hosting informative content on various indigenous defence products and promoting heritage and entertainment in Gujarat.
  • The exhibition is in line with  Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to achieve defence self-Reliance  and  export  $5 billion by 2025.
