Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar CM for the 8th time today

Patna : Janata Dal (United) Leader Nitish Kumar will be sworn back in as prime minister of Bihar on Wednesday afternoon after announcing a new 'Major Alliance' consisting of Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the other opposition parties. 

 Tejashwi Yadav is also likely to be sworn in as deputy minister. 

 Seven parties include 164 MPs as well as independent MPs in our Mahagathbandhan,  Nitish Kumar said in joint press with RJD's Tejashwi Yadav after meeting with Governor of Bihar.

Kumar ended his alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by the National Democratic Union and joined the RJD in a day of rapidly changing political developments in Bihar. 


According to a tweet from Kumar's new alliance partner, RJD, the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 2pm at Raj Bhavan. 

 "The swearing-in  of Honorary Minister and Deputy  Minister will take place at 2pm tomorrow  at Raj Bhavan," the party said in a tweet from its official hand. 

 Although RJD's tweet did not mention any names, it was widely predicted that Nitish Kumar would be prime minister while Tejashwi Yadav would become his deputy. 

 In a day of rapid political developments, Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar  met with Governor Phagu Chauhan twice, first to offer his resignation as NDA Minister, then after being elected leader of the RJD (coalition) big) led the "Mahagathbandhan" to  claim  the highest post in the state  again.

 Meanwhile, the BJP criticized Nitish Kumar for his decision and said he had 'disrespected the mandate given by the people of Bihar'. 

 Nitish Kumar, who spoke to the media with Tejashwi Yadav said he has seven parties that support Mahagathbandhan. Tejashwi Yadav attacked the BJP and claimed that the party has no coalition partner through the heart of Hindi. He accused the BJP of trying to destroy the parties with which it formed an alliance. 

 "In the heart of Hindi country, the BJP has no coalition partner. History shows that the BJP destroys the parties with which it forms alliances. We have seen this happen in Punjab and Maharashtra," he declared. Father. He also referenced the comments of BJP President JP Nadda.

 Kumar, who was a longtime BJP ally before cutting ties in 2013 and rejoining in 2017, said  there was a unanimous decision at the morning meeting to "sever the links". 

 JD-U and BJP  fought together in the 2020 election and Nitish Kumar was appointed prime minister of the coalition despite the BJP winning more seats. Nitish Kumar's relationship with the BJP spanned more than two decades and he served as a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1996.

JD-U leaders said factors such as developments related to  RCP Singh's withdrawal from the party have reduced ties with the BJP. JD-U leaders  also mocked the role of Lok Janshakti  (Ram Vilas) party leader Chirag Paswan in the 2020 parliamentary elections and said his selection of candidates from contested party seats was in dispute. caused damage. 

 JD-U and RJD  fought together in 2015 Bihar election. JD-U has 45 and  RJD has 79 delegates in the 243-member Bihar council. 

 JD-U is the third major ally to leave the BJP in the past  three years after Shiv Sena and Shiromani Akali Dal.
